Typing
Typing tests and races in sixteen languages, with WPM and accuracy tracking.
Replace [prefix] with your server's prefix.
Taking a Test
// Syntax
[prefix]typing test [language] [wordcount]
// Example
;typing test
;typing test german 50
Serenity posts a block of words. Type them out in one message, as fast and as accurately as you can — the clock runs from the moment the words appear to the moment your message lands.
Both arguments are optional: the default is 25 English words. The word count is capped between 5 and 100.
Your result comes back as WPM and accuracy:
92 WPM / 97% Accuracy
WPM is measured in the standard way — five characters count as one word — and counts only the words you got right. Accuracy is how much of the text you reproduced correctly.
You have to type at least 90% of the words for the result to count, and you get five minutes before the test expires.
Anti-Cheat
The words are posted in a lookalike font that isn't ordinary text. Copying the block and pasting it back is detected instantly and ends the test, as is any result above 300 WPM. Type it out.
Racing
// Syntax
[prefix]typing race [language] [wordcount]
// Example
;typing race english 25
Start the race
Serenity posts the lobby with a 🗒 and a ✅ reaction.
Everyone joins
React with 🗒 to get on the participant list. At least two people are needed.
Start it
Whoever ran the command reacts with ✅. A three second countdown runs, then the words go up for everyone at once.
Results
Each finisher's WPM and accuracy is posted, ranked, with medals for the top three.
The lobby waits two minutes for a start before giving up. Race results are saved just like solo tests.

english1000 is the thousand most common English words — the usual choice for
chasing a high number rather than practising.
Naming a language Serenity doesn't have gets you the list back instead of a test.
Your Numbers
| Command | Shows |
|---|---|
[prefix]typing stats [member] | Tests taken, average WPM, best WPM, accuracy |
[prefix]typing history [member] | The last 20 results, newest first |
[prefix]typing leaderboard | Best WPM per person, across every server |
[prefix]typing guildleaderboard | The same, narrowed to this server |
[prefix]typing cleardata | Deletes your results on this server |
Stats and history are per server — your results here don't mix with another server's. The global leaderboard is the exception, and ranks everyone by their single best test.
cleardata cannot be undone
[prefix]typing cleardata wipes every test you've recorded on this server. There
is no confirmation and no way back.
Typing doesn't appear in [prefix]stats — WPM isn't a win or a loss, so it keeps
its own tables.
