Moderation
Bans, mutes, warns, purges and everything else your staff needs.
Replace [prefix] with your server's prefix.
Serenity's moderation commands need no setup. Every one of them checks the Discord permission a moderator would need to do the same thing by hand, so your existing staff roles already decide who can use what.
Bans and Kicks
Ban, softban, tempban, kick, and the hardban that survives an unban.
Mutes and Restrictions
Timeouts, voice mutes, and pulling single permissions off a member.
Warnings
Warns, automatic punishments per warn count, and private staff notes.
Jail
Lock someone out of every channel but one.
Purging
Delete messages in bulk, filtered by what's in them.
Channels
Lock, hide, slowmode, and channel management from chat.
Logging
Event logs, moderator history and role hierarchy protection.
Appeals
Let banned members plead their case through the bot.
Who Can Use What
There's no "moderator role" to configure. Each command requires the matching Discord permission:

The DM Notification
Punishments DM the member what happened and why. Add -silence to the command
to skip that DM:
;ban @member spamming -silence
If their DMs are closed the punishment still goes through — the notification is the only part that fails.
Reasons
Every punishment command takes a reason as its last argument, and it shows up in the audit log, the member's DM and the moderation history. Leaving it out records "No reason provided", which helps nobody three months later.
Staff can't be punished with these commands. Serenity refuses if the target
outranks the moderator, and [prefix]hierarchy extends that to undoing other
people's punishments.
